I don’t regularly go there for service, as I do most of my own work. “I was on vacation from Washington with my wife and two kids. We decided to go up and see Virginia City. On the way up the car started to get a little warm. On the way back we decided to go through Carson City. As we reached town I noticed the temp gauge was getting pretty uncomfortable. I saw some guys in coveralls leaning over a car. It was a quarter to five, so I quickly did a U-turn and pulled in. I told them my situation and despite the time of day they immediately started checking things out. They told me it needed to be checked out more extensively but because of the time and the fact that I was staying in Reno it obviously wasn’t going to get fixed that day. So they got on the phone and called their other store in Reno to see if they had time to do an overheating job in the morning. Aaron, who was in their Reno store, immediately understood my situation and agreed to look at it first thing in the morning. We crept back to Reno and brought the car over in the morning. To make a longer story shorter by that afternoon our Jeep was fixed and we were able to continue on on our vacation for another week without any overheating issues whatsoever. While they worked on our Jeep Aaron gave us a ride back to the casino where we were staying and when the car was done he paid for the taxi ride back to the shop, and the price he originally quoted me for the work was what I paid in the end. “Yes, They are 5 star great. Our family came out to Dayton and our jeep commander had problems with the transmission in Reno on a Saturday. No one in Reno would see us for at least 3 days due to hot August night’s. So we looked in Carson for anyone to help us so that we could leave on Sunday. Christinson Automotive was AAA recommended. As soon as we called them they were eager to help and concerned. In short they cared. They fixed the problem with the jeep in one day. “I just went in to [Christensen Automotive] to have my water pump checked out on my Tundra. I suspected it may have a leak using a mirror, because there was no leak evidence in my driveway. Thier mechanic confirmed I do have a leak, Jerry and Nick got me in right away and basically got it fixed the first day, took it for a test drive the next morning and I was out the door. They were fair on the price, very quick getting me back on the road and treated me and my family awesome once again. “I had to work down in LA for a week while my wife was stuck at home with 2 kids, a car with chains she could not remove and a truck with a transmission line leak. Lance from Christensen came to our house with a mechanic. Removed the chains from my wife’s Honda and then took our truck back to the shop for repair. The bill was going to be $550 so he called the local Chevy dealership and was able to get it fixed under warranty even though we were out of the factory warranty by 14K miles. He pulled off a miracle and saved us $500 two weeks before Xmas. All he asked of us was $15 for 2 qts of transmission fluid.” – Matt H.
